JIMI HENDRIX Guitar Fails To Meet Reserve Price During Auction

A guitar Jimi Hendrix torched during a 1967 performance failed to light a fire under bidders during a rock-memorabilia auction Tuesday in London, according to BBC News. The highest bid — less than $470,000 — didn't meet the $500,000 reserve price, so the guitar's owner, Dweezil Zappa, must decide if he wants to accept the offer. A handwritten poem by late DOORS frontman Jim Morrison was among the items that did sell.
